Teacher of  Percussion and Jazz Drum 
 

Shek specialises in drums and timpani, and works as a pop music session drummer. In recent years, he has been teaching drums and jazz drums at the Hong Kong Pop Music Centre. 

 

He played in the The Hong Kong Symphonic Winds as percussionist from the age of twelve. He studied under Sophia Woo Shuk-Fai, Choy Lap-tak, Lawrence Tsui, and received his RockSchool (RSL) Level 4 Diploma in Performance in 2013. 

 

Dedicated to music education, Shek has worked as a musical instrument tutor and conductor at numerous schools, as well as leading the percussion ensemble at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

 

He has performed as a timpanist and jazz drummer in a variety of musical settings. His performances at WMC Kerkrade in the Netherlands in 2013 and 2017 with the Hong Kong Symphonic Winds were warmly received.

石偉平 — 本土孕育之敲擊樂手，自十二歲開始於香港交響管樂團學習及演奏敲擊樂。師承胡淑徽，蔡立德及流行鼓樂手徐協倫，於2013年考獲RockSchool Level 4 演奏文憑。

石氏致力發長音樂教育，於多間學校任教樂器導師及樂團指揮，及帶領敲擊樂團參與校際音樂節比賽兩獲三甲。
 

多年活躍於多個樂團擔任定音鼓手及爵士鼓手演出及比賽，曾於2013及2017兩次隨香港交響管樂團參與於荷蘭舉行之世界管樂大賽（WMC Kerkrade)次比賽及演出，廣受好評。
