Teacher of Piano and Clarinet

Leung Kristin is a second-year undergraduate BA (Honours) Music student at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in piano under the tutelage of Dr. Timothy Kwok since 2024. Previously, she had studied with Ms. Akane Kubota. She started learning the piano at the age of 9 and attained the ATCL piano performance in 2019. Furthermore, she attained the ATCL for clarinet with distinction in 2019. She also received Dean’s list in 2024-2025 academic year.

In 2025, Leung participated in the Asian Aegean Summer Piano Masterclasses in Taipei, receiving guidance from renowned pianists such as Prof. Daming Zhu, Prof. J.Y. Song, Prof. Guigla Katsarava and Prof. Eric Kwan-Yu Chen.

Leung is active in various competitions, including the Championship in the Steinway & Sons international youth competition 2023, the third place in the Open Piano Duet Group in the 89th Steinway & Sons international youth piano competition in 2025.  Besides, she won the third in the Composer of the year in the 75th Hong Kong School Music Festival and a gold prize in the Hong Kong division of the Osaka International Competition in 2023. Additionally, she got fifth place in the final round of Osaka International Music Competition 2023.

During secondary school, she served as the president and the clarinet principal in the Concert Band in Form 5.
